The nurse just came in & gave me Ambien, so I've only got a few minutes before I start snoring & drooling. This is my 5th visit here for pneumonia in the last year & a half. But I'd be selfish and remiss to think that you weren't struggling with something too. Today's post shall be for all of us. You leave a comment with the verse you cling to when things get tough. I'll do the same. And together, let's lift each other up.

Don't worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which will exceed anything we can understand. His peace will guard our hearts and minds as we live in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:28 (The Message)
26-28Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8
1TO EVERYTHING there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven: 2A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted,(A) 3A time to kill and a time to heal, a time to break down and a time to build up, 4A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, 5A time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, 6A time to get and a time to lose, a time to keep and a time to cast away, 7A time to rend and a time to sew, a time to keep silence and a time to speak,(B) 8A time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
I keep returing to Psalm 25..It's really been speaking to me for awhile now and I get comfort from it..

Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in me WILL bring it to completion..." Philippians 1
Psalm 55:22
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
This one has helped me a lot lately. We have to give it all to God so that he can take care of us. By trying to fix everything on our own, it's like telling God "DON'T HELP ME". Who would really say that? It's hard to give up control, but this verse has helped me realize we're better of if we do.

Kimba, Jill - appreciated and needed additions to this list of verses. Jill - thk you for the extra transparency - an encouragement to us.

God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture:
