I haven't been a Survivor-groupie for quite awhile. But in its 2nd season, Raul and I were SO honkin' hooked. Not sure if this is still a stipulation, but back then, each contestant was allowed to bring ONE luxury item to the stranded location. OK, indulge me--if you were a Survivor contestant, what would be your one luxury item? More importantly, why? I think this is a great leadHership question. Think carefully; feel free to opine. I'll leave a comment w/ my answer.

For spiritual and mental conditioning, I'd bring my iPod, loaded w/ podcasts, music & teachings.
Awesome LeadHership! B4 I read your comment I was thinking, well, I've never seen that show (don't watch much TV) but the one thing I couldn't be without would be my inspirational worship music. So my luxury item would be my virtual ipod (I don't have one yet) loaded with worship songs in order to inspire me and keep me focused on what matters....
I'd bring my Bible. Nothing but me and mi Biblia under the stars or up in the trees in the jungle. Learning from it,diving deep into it... for it's all I'd have.
I love my music, but I'd think it'd be kind of cool to make my own music there in the jungle or write my own songs. I'd figure out some way or another to make a guitar out of tree and bamboo leaves! ;)
Hmm... I think I'm making it too complicated, cause I'm sitting here wondering what is considered a luxury! Def the Bible, but if that is not considered a luxury, then handlotion!!

Heather, I read this in my reader before I read the comments. I also would bring my ipod. Not sure how the power access would be to hook it up. Not sure I could get a production assistant to fire it up. Perhaps they have solar power chargers somewhere...
If not, I'd bring my pocket ESV. It goes anywhere with me now, and I can't imagine not having it.
I can tell you it would not be a texas flag. Wasn't that a luxery item someone brought once?

I'd bring my Amazon Kindle loaded with books. Like others said, charging it would be a problem. Maybe I should just bring an actual book.
Agh, the first thing to come to mind was my laptop, but when I think it through, I would bring a note book.....
