Happy Father's Day to my Dad, Rob Funk. Here is a pic of him. Of course, he doesn't even know how to turn a computer on! But I'd like to thank my Dad for pointing me to God. I'd also like to thank him (& my mom) for modeling "love never fails" in their 36-yr marriage.
This will be my Dad's first Father's Day without his dad.
I'm praying for him, and you, if this holiday will be difficult.
Is there something you'd thank your Dad for? What would it be?

well my dad passed when I was young in the 80's but I have so many of his qualities (and even w the not so perfect ones) am so blessed to have and carry on.
I'd have to Thank my dad for teaching me to always see the good in others. He is extremely forgiving and is a true model of "Turn the other Cheek".
My father was an alcoholic and he was lost; but he always made us kids go to church with Mom. We had a very stormy relationship all my years he was here but it wasn't until I became an adult and learned how he grew up that I realized he did the best he could with no paternal guidance of his own. He taught me to be tough and independent and he taught me not give up loving. I was always looking for his love and I found true love in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God took me on this path of life and I am who I am because of that path. I am sorry that my Dad never let himself go to let God in... But I sing for joy that I did!
actually it's Feliz Dias de los Padres....
My dad is a very stubborn cuban hill billie and a retired pastor... I thank him for is unconditional love and for always cooking something yummy for me...and for ALWAYS being my nurse more so than my mom... we are 4 in our family, but I know I am his favorite....

God gave us both the opportunity for me to let him know before he died that I will never forget him.....

Teped, Anonymous - Hey, thanks for chiming in. Cool stories about ur Pops.
I am blessed to still have my Dad with me - although quite a drive away - and he taught me to never give up doing what is right. He was not perfect (and neither am I), but he always gave whatever he could to help those who needed it and praises God for the way He has blessed him through his life. Vickilou
i'd thank my dad for always encouraging me to be fearless.
