Some Things Look Better Under a Microscope

Well this concludes a 4-day getaway with saturated family time!! But God used the saturation to give me a new perspective, thru the lens of a microscope. Allowing me to see intricacies & details of my family that I've missed from distance glances. In Raul, I saw a great Dad. A guy who's able to convert like a Transformer from 37-yr old pastor into a 10-yr old boy. In DJ, I saw the ham that I am. A boy who loves to use crazy gestures & faces to ensure laughter in others. In Andy, I saw a child with a limitless imagination. A boy who can make a stick & a leaf seem like huge possibilities of adventure. God, thank you for this time, my family & your microscope-perspective of them. Grateful.

You're grateful and I'm inspired. Beautiful story, beautiful family, beautiful way to encourage us to look closer and see pieces of God in those around us.

To be close to our family, we have to be close by! I love your microscope analogy. Sometimes as women, we get so caught up in The Big Picture... we can miss the little things. Enjoyed this post.

Thank you for sharing Heather! It is so often that we take the biggest blessing from God for granted. Our spouse, our children, our homes, our jobs, our freedom are just the routine things for us, but God has blessed us with this wonderful, beautiful things. Your blog just emphasizes the fact that God is so good. He sends us these golden opportunities to count our blessings. Grateful along with you! Liza - FRC/HB
