I'm almost finished w/ a book that has done me some good. Here's some things I'm wrestling with since reading it...
1. God, please give me a heart that gives.
2. If I'm happy with the way I'm giving, it probably means God isn't.
3. If I saw God starving, what would I give Him? What would I give up for you, God?
4. God, give me open palms, not clenched fists, with "stuff."
5. God, when I croak, give the legacy of my life to those who will see it and find you.

My first post here, I have been reading your stuff for months. These are questions I have pondered for years...I believe God loves it when we give in ways that are completely outside our comfort level. I mean not just financially but by being WILLING to do whatever He asks us to do for HIM. I call it "boat rocking" and I have watched what God does when you rock the boat of your comfort level, rock the boat of the norm, rock the boat of what everyone else thinks is giving. It has completely changed my life and my intimacy with my Dad. I love how He continues to mold and stretch us to be what He wants us to be. You know, that infinitely more than we could ever hope for or imagine...I love it that He has called me to do things for Him that I would never of thought I could or would do. I know He doesn't need us but am sooo grateful He chooses to use us! keep up the great blog. Would love to talk about this topic more with you. Blessings!
