I'm so glad that her criticism didn't get me down. Cause God used it to light the fire under my butt and set me out on a journey of a lifetime.
Someday, I hope I get the chance to thank her (really...I do)

I remember when you first came down, I still see you beating Corey at Playstation! They still call you "sister" too. Glad u didn't listen to the haters, they were just jealous you were coming to beautiful F.L.A.! Your children will thank you for raising them here, just ask Corey who is now in your old hometown,:-O

That comment wasn't about Florida it was about you personally. It could have been Argentina for all they cared that you were moving to. When they said, "you won't make it" they weren't talking about this place. Instead they were slamming you when they said, "when they learn the real you, you will have to move back."
That's pretty hateful. I'm glad it gave you courage not to protect yourself relationally and put up walls for fear of being rejected. You do owe them thanks.
They would have said the same hateful thing no matter where you went.
