I'm going to internally combust if I don't share this with you.
This is my very-favorite-of-all-times-numero-uno quote:
"BY PERSEVERANCE THE SNAIL REACHED THE ARK"
-Charles Spurgeon
This quote just begs me to think deeply and to move determinedly.
When I want to give up, I just imagine Noah and ALL the animals hanging out in the ark...getting impatient, wanting to close the door, ready to go.
I imagine Male-Snail and Female-Snail going as fast as they can, but the ark seeming so far away.
I imagine that nobody or no animal got off the ark to go and help the snails.
And I imagine that nobody or no animal had to.
'Cause the snails had God, and He was gonna make sure they made it.
And we know, to this day, that they did.
Hey, I'd love to know what (if at all) this quote speaks to you.

Your blogs are so inspirational! I love to read them. You are so awesome!
You rock, Amy, you know I love you, girl. Thanks for stopping by leadHership!!!
Thanks for helping me to see that God cares for slow moving snails like me. I'll continue to crawl along!
Much like the hair and the turtle (i'm not sure how to spell that other turtle word) I'm sure the snail passed several other "faster" animals on his/her way to the ark, who were distracted, tired or just wanted to do something else...Maybe those animals were suppose to be the tiger or horse on the ark but because they were distracted they missed their destiny...while the snail slow but sure lived out the dream God had for him/her (do you think God even knows how to tell the difference between a boy snail and a girl snail?)
As usual - you make me sit back and think deeply about this quote and how it relates to my life...
Thanks for always directing us to search within ourselves and ask some tough questions of who and where we really are!!!
This quote speaks a lot using a little. First off, I never really thought about the journey of a snail to the Ark! This is a rather humorous thought, but full of impact. A simple quote of God's word, about what seems to be a very simple animal in His kingdom, tells a priceless lesson. That is if God has the patience to help a snail along a journey, he will surely help us along ours.
